The PhD academy movie night for February 🎬

For the upcoming movie night, we will be screening ’Triangle of Sadness’, a satirical black comedy with a lot of unexpected twists at every juncture. The film stars Harris Dickinson, Charlbi Dean,and  Woody Harrelson among others and is directed by Ruben Östlund in his English-language feature film debut.
 

It’s that time of year again, time for our annual winter ball. Enjoy a night of dancing, drinks, and fun at the beautiful castle Vaeshartelt. Don’t miss your chance to get early bird tickets before it runs out! 
 

For December, The PhD Academy Movie Committee will be screening “Pinocchio”, A retelling of the famous Italian Carlo Collodi fairytale about a wooden puppet who comes to life and dreams of becoming a real boy takes place in 1930s Fascist Italy.

For November, PhD Academy Movie Committee will be screening the movie 'Holy Spider'.  Directed by Ali Abbasi, the movie was quite popular at the Cannes Film Festival and won Best Actress award for it's lead actor. The plot revolves around a journalist who tries to uncover the dark mysteries of one of Iran's holy cities.
